I think that Wavie wasn’t going to get adopted. In the book, Samantha Rose said that Wavie was going to get adopted by the Bowmans which I feel like Wavie can’t trust Samantha Rose. Also in the book, Her mom didn’t tell Wavie about her almost getting adopted. I also think that Gilbert is really smart but he just doesn’t try.
In the book, it seem he just doesn’t want to look smart and be special.Also in the book, he looks like he doesn’t have enough money for school like college and supplies.

I think that Samantha Rose is either trying to get money out of Wavie or she isn’t even Wavie’s Aunt. I n the book, Wavie’s mom barely even talked about her family and her sister. Also in the book, there was pictures of Wavie’s mom and Samantha Rose in the background look really jealous or suspicious. In the book, even Hoyt said Samantha Rose was probably using Wavie for money which makes sense because Wavie has social security checks every month that Samantha Rose would probably steal this is on page 42.

Klondike Kate by Liza Ketchum tells how a girl named Kate traveled to go dig for gold but instead became known for opening restaurants, panned for gold, performed minor surgery and became first Woman Special. At the beginning she heard that there was gold from the paperboy. Also in the beginning she traveled to dig for gold. In the middle she packed a enormous food supplies. Also her stuff got ruined so people helped her out. So she cooked for them and they said it was amazing. At the ending she made a deal to open restaurants. Also in the ending people made her first Woman Special.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I give it five stars because I like the characters and the bond between Omar and Hassan even though they have their fights and arguments also I liked how Omar actually went to school.

Fav Character

My favorite character is probably Maryam, why she is intelligent and she shows girl power how because she so smart that she almost got to go to a great school in Canada but her dad made her get married which was really sad. Also my favorite part of her is when she made Omar go back to school to take the exams because she couldn’t go to school to take the exams because her dad made her not go to school.

Fav Moment

My favorite moment is when Omar and Hassan got resettled in America after such a long time waiting if they were going to get resettled and they started giving up hope that they would get resettled. Also they waited about 13 years to leave Dadaab. But also they had to leave all their friend and family which the sad person they had to leave was Fatuma.
